Tonight the Barrie Colts (9-3-0-1) host the Mississauga Steelheads (3-9-0-0) for the first of six meetings this regular season.

The Trout swim into Barrie coming off a 2-1 OT win last night over the Kingston Frontenacs. Mississauga controlled most of the game, despite trailing most of it. They out-shot the Fronts 35-22.  Kingston held a 1-0 lead until late in the 3rd period when Nicolas Hague scored his 4th of the season on the power-play with less than two minutes remaining in regulation. Barrie is coming off a huge 6-0 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs. Luke Bignell scored first, while Zach Magwood would follow him up with a pair of goals. Curtis Douglas and Jason Willms scored and Mathew Hill would end the night with his 1st career OHL goal. The Ponies were 1 for 4 on the manage and killed off all 3 penalty kills. Barrie is 6-1-0-1 on the road, while Missisauga is 1-6-0-0 on the road.

Tonight would be a good night to give Kai Edmonds his first start but with the team off until next week they may give Leo Lazarev the start. No official word announced yet.

Colts forward Ben Hawerchuk is eligible to return tonight after serving an 8 game suspension against Hamilton back on September 30th.
